How It All Began
In October of 1976, The Brazos County Senior Citizens Association was chartered as a nonprofit corporation. An old building was rented and volunteers helped with repairs and remodeling.
In 1978, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lester, civic leaders, donated the land and some of the funds for a new Center. Additional funds were pledged by Brazos County citizens and a new building was completed in 1981.
Through prudent management by the Board of Directors and efforts of the members, this organization strives to be self-supporting. We are a non-profit tax deductible organization and survive off of donations. Any assistance from anyone will be greatly appreciated as it will help us continue to operate our Center.
